Our
Vision
"What's
God going to say to my questions? I'm braced for the worst. I'll climb
to the lookout tower and scan the horizon. I'll wait to see what God says,
how he'll answer my complaint. And then GOD answered: 'Write this.Write
what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read
on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what's coming.
It aches for the coming--it can hardly wait! And it doesn't lie. If it
seems slow in coming, wait. It's on its way. It will come right on time.
Look at that man, bloated by self-importance--full of himself but soul-empty.
But the person in right standing before God through loyal and steady believing
is fully alive, really alive." (Habakkuk 2:1-4, The Message)
Our
vision is to be a source of future ministries of all types and functions,
and to contribute to the spread of the gospel by supporting missionary
work and evangelism. Our church serves as a spiritual hospital where people
who are hurting and broken come to be restored and then sent out to be
a Balm of Gildead to others.
Every
Member a Minister of Reconciliation
We
don't believe that church should be just a place to come and sit or that
people with a title are the only ones who should be
changing lives with the power of the gospel. We agree with the biblical
idea that we are all a “priesthood of believers,” and were
saved because we have been gifted with a special purpose to fulfill. At
The Triumphant Church, you will see your purpose fulfilled and have a
joyous time doing it!
Structured
for Implementation
We intend on moving towards this vision by focusing on these key internal
and external activities:
Internal
- We will continue to teach
the uncompromising Word of God and add to the corporate revelation of
JESUS CHRIST.
- We will ingrain our people
with an understanding of their covenant relationship with God and other
believers.
- We will identify the particular
gifts and callings in the church and develop those gifts through teaching
and practical service.
- We will provide training
to equip our people to advance the Kingdom of God in their families,
their professions, and their personal relationships with the LORD.
- We will keep our people
informed of the issues affecting the society around them and how the
Word of God would direct them to address those issues.
External
- We will place and support
our people in their positions of ministry and service to the Body of
CHRIST and to the community.
- We will work with existing
government, business, philanthropic, and cultural institutions in addressing
human needs with financial and volunteer support.
- We will search for opportunities
to preach, teach, and model the principles of the Kingdom of God through
evangelism, missions, and other forms of Christian witness.
- We will develop and maintain
covenant relationships with other fellowships and ministries in the
body of CHRIST.
- We will develop the capabilities
to provide answers to human problems and to confront the spiritual and
natural sources of human suffering.
