Denise Motlagh, originally
from Corning, New York, was born into a family of five
children--four girls and a boy. After finishing her
studies in Corning, Denise moved to Alexandria, VA,
where she met and married her husband Ala. After being
married for eight years and not being able to conceive,
Denise cried out to the Lord for a child. The Lord granted
her desire. She conceived and bore a son, Jonathan which
means "a gift from God." Jonathan is now 24
years old, a former Marine and currently attending college
in Virginia.
Denise is from a Catholic background. When she was
five years old, she made her first Communion, experiencing
the “Shakina Glory." It was at this time
that she invited Jesus into her heart. Little did she
know that He would remain with her forever. After her
marriage, Denise rededicated her life to the Lord, and,
desiring to know Him more and live for Him, she joined
the Rhema Faith Center Church, now called The Triumphant
Church. She has been attending ever since. She had served
under Pastors Cameron and Anna Simmons and now under
Pastors LeRoy and Rita Thompson. She’s been involved
in greeting, teaching Children’s Church, counting,
and served as Acting Deacon of the Visitors and Membership
Ministries and Deacon of the Helps Ministry.
Her greatest desire is to live a life that is pleasing
to the Lord and to see all her family, friends, and
associates come into the Kingdom and live for him. “Even
so, let your light shine before men; that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
(Matthew 5:16)
Denise is currently serving as Deacon of our Intercessory Prayer Ministry. |
