I was born and raised near Philadelphia, PA, and was adopted at 3 years old with my sister into a Jewish home. My father was a storekeeper, and my mom was a housekeeper. She helped out some at the store. Being too much of a free spirit, I left home at 17 to travel by bicycle. Over the next seven years, I peddled across the continguous United States which consists of 48 states. It was an education seeing the country that slowly and meeting so many people while traveling. I lived in New Orleans for the warm winters.  There I found out the reality of witchcraft and voodoo that was rampant there at the time. God, who I didn't know personally, showed himself to me very soon afterwards in January of 1983. It reminds me of Isaiah 60:2: "Behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee."

My physical trip turned into a several years-long spiritual journey that took me to everything from cults to mainline churches, as I was trying to confirm intellectually what I knew in the spirit and by the spirit: that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. This was a truth whether I knew it or not or wanted it or not. The Lord first took away my desire for doing drugs and showed me that He was a greater high than any of that other stuff. The only drug rehabilitation I needed was to quote the Bible verse "Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil" over and over, thousands of times.

I met my wife Lisa Kay at an all-night prayer meeting just a few weeks after finishing off the last of the 48 states. We got married 8 months later. We now have 2 great teenagers, Jonathan and Jennifer, and I'm proud of them both. The Lord led us to an auto body shop church called Rhema Faith Center in January of 1989, and over the years I have evangelized parking lots and restrooms, been blessed as a Greeter, helped build church buildings in Mexico, and fed the homeless in Washington, DC.

Currently I lead the Audio/Visual Ministry which is part of the Worship Ministry. I'm also the Community Outreach Leader at Greene Hills Estates, Springfield, VA.

I personally know and love the Lord Jesus and sincerely hope you do also.
